It is my belief that when you
walk into an artist’s studio, you can learn a bit about the
person who occupies that space from just looking around – seeing
what’s on the walls and on the table tops.
With this understanding, I am
offering a few snapshots from my studio.
I hope these peeks of my creative
space will give you an idea of where and how I work.
Looking at these, you may come to
the conclusion that I keep things organized, but you only have
to see my desk which is straightened just one or two days out of
the entire year to realize it's all about how you crop a photo!
Most of the time, I have several
projects underway; some have been there for weeks!
I make lots of notes to myself,
sketches, scribbles and doodles.
Usually, there is one that says,
“Clean up desk!”
What you don’t see
in these photos is my family (including our dog!) that comes and
goes through here.
Nor will you see the excitement I
experience in this place.
(“I love it when a plan comes
together.” from the A-Team)
Or the frustration of things gone
wrong. (“It's okay honey.
I... I was just talking to the cornfield. from Field of
Dreams)
They do not reveal that I am a
native North Carolinian, happy to call myself a Southerner; that
I am a lefty without apology, and am blessed with the best of
friends, both in and out of the teddy bear world.
Oh, one more thing
these photos don’t show – how glad I am you stopped by to have a
look around my website.
Thanks for that!
(Do you hear all the teddy bears
cheering in the background?)
